Get Relayium
One end-to-end encrypted transfer for files and ephemeral text, everywhere you work. Pick your platform.
Download Android 0.2.2 (APK)
Which one should I use?
- Web app — zero-install file transfer and ephemeral text, in any modern browser on any OS.
- Command line — scriptable file transfers, folder sync, server backups and ephemeral text on macOS, Linux and Windows.
- macOS app — download the signed and notarized native menu-bar app.
- Android app — download the 0.2.2 preview APK directly: pairing transfers either direction, nearby devices with no code, Device Inbox, encrypted links and an account. There is no Google Play listing.
- Everywhere else — iPhone, iPad, Windows and Linux run the web app in the browser with nothing to install; Windows and Linux can also install the command line.
One transfer, every device
- Web app — Nothing to install. Open it in any modern browser on any OS to transfer files or send ephemeral text.
- Command line — Scriptable file transfers, folder sync, server-to-server backups and ephemeral text for macOS, Linux and Windows.
- macOS app — A true native menu-bar app (com.relayium.mac): files and text with nearby devices or by pairing code, encrypted links to send and open, and account management — available as a signed and notarized download, and separately on the Mac App Store.
- Android app — A direct-APK public preview (0.2.2). Android 8.0 or newer, arm64 or x86_64. Five screens — Transfer, Nearby, Inbox, Cloud and Account: it starts a pairing transfer as well as joining one, reaches a device on the same network with no code, receives what your own devices send you and keeps that history, sends and opens encrypted links, and can be entered from the system share sheet or a scanned QR code. It runs while the app is open: there is no background delivery and no resident session. For large encrypted uploads, progress is saved on the phone and the next launch can offer to continue one, though nothing continues on its own. Received files and messages live inside Relayium on the phone: clearing the app's data or uninstalling it deletes those copies, and saving a copy somewhere else is an explicit action. Not on Google Play, and it contains no Play Services and no Play Billing. Check for updates from the app's own Transfer screen; Relayium does not download or install anything itself.
- Every other platform — iPhone, iPad, Windows and Linux use Relayium through the browser — the same end-to-end encrypted transfer, with nothing to install. On Windows and Linux the command line adds scripting, folder sync and scheduled backups. Relayium publishes no app for those platforms.
Web or a native app?
Use the web app
Nothing to install and nothing to update: open the page and transfer. It runs in any modern browser on any operating system, including the ones with no native app, which makes it the right choice for a one-off transfer, a borrowed computer, or a device you do not administer.
Get the macOS app
It lives in the menu bar, so it is one click away with no window or tab to keep track of. You can send from the Share menu in Finder, Photos and other apps — files, images and video go straight to Relayium — or use Open With in Finder, or drop files and folders on the Dock icon, to start a transfer from where the files already are. A relayium.com transfer link opens in the app instead of the browser. And with Device Inbox, files sent to this Mac from your own account are written into the folder you chose on it, and are only reported saved once they are on disk.
On every other platform, the browser is the app
iPhone, iPad, Windows and Linux all open relayium.com and get the same end-to-end encrypted transfer, with nothing to install and nothing to update. On Windows and Linux the command line adds scripting, folder sync and scheduled backups. Relayium publishes no client for those platforms, so the web app is not a fallback there — it is the product. On Android the browser works the same way, and there is additionally a direct-APK preview that does the whole job natively — pairing transfers either direction, nearby devices, Device Inbox and encrypted links — while the app is open.
